GM Group Hiring for Finance Assistant Job at Blackburn, England Full Time

The purpose of the role is to provide Finance support to the Treasury function across our Group and its customers to ensure each individual Business Finance Department within the Group is functioning at its maximum potential.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Basic bookkeeping onto the Sage Accounting software as well as offline Excel documents.
• Supplier statement reconciliation of Office expenses such as Consultancy, IT Costs, etc.
• Support the reporting structure to ensure accuracy and complete clarity in data submitted.
• Error checking financial Forecasts and other reports submitting into the Treasury.
• Creating Forecasts based on variables and assumptions.
• Reconciliation of monthly recommendation fees owed to the Business based on instructions.
• Overseeing expense requests and ensuring these are investigated in a timely manner.
• Supporting Treasury with one off Business projects.

Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential. On the job training will be provided on all the above. The below requirements are critical to be highly successful in the role.

• Strong academic background in Maths or closely related subject (degree not essential).
• A logical approach to challenges and obstacles.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
• High level of attention to detail to spot errors and/or inconsistencies in data presented.
• Must be comfortable working with large data sets with potentially hundreds of numbers.
