Glyndŵr University Hiring for Head of Finance Job at Banbury, England Full Time

Acting as the lead for the provision of all Finance Services, and reporting to the Executive Director of Finance, a highly motivated and enthusiastic person is sought to provide leadership, direction and management to a team of staff to deliver a high quality, customer focused finance service for the University. The post holder will support the Executive Director of Finance by providing the platform to enable the delivery of the Group financial strategy and corporate plan.
They will provide strategic leadership for a portfolio of finance activities including the co-ordination of the University’s annual budgeting process, the oversight of the monthly reporting cycle and the preparation of financial forecasts for the Board of Governors and external bodies. As well as providing leadership to the exchequer functions of the team.
As a CCAB Qualified Accountant you will have experience of preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts to agreed timescales consistently and undertake business reviews with budget holders to ensure financial targets and objectives are met. The collection of non-financial data and information to help inform forecasting and accurate report of performance is essential along with experience of project accounting and financial planning of complex projects.
Experience of operating in a large commercial organisation and delivering demonstrable positive bottom line impact is fundamental to this post, along with the successful candidate demonstrating the ability to manage complex data and undertake statistical analysis in order to make concise summaries and offer solutions to complex business objectives.
Previous working experience of ERP accounting software packages and Microsoft Excel is a requirement of the post
