About the Role: The Controller is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing all accounting processes, policies and procedures for the business to ensure the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements. The position is responsible for the management of general accounting functions.

Responsibilities:
Ensure that all financial statements and reports are completed in timely and accurate manner.

Responsible for the implementation of robust internal controls, monitoring compliance, and for the maintenance of adequate documentation.

Ensures that all monthly account reconciliations are performed accurately, completely, and on-time.

Responsible for managing 1 direct report and 4 indirect reports.

Manages the audit process and serves as the Audit Leader.

Works with tax accountants on tax preparation and planning.

Implements process and procedural improvements to optimize the workflow within the department.

Expected to advise immediately of any errors, irregularities, or significant adjustments or journal entries as they occur.

Responsible for all treasury functions, cash flow management, forecasting, bank reporting.

Expected to stay current with Accounting and Auditing Standards.

Success in this position requires the ability to build a strong partnership with the Finance team and other departments of the company. It requires frequent communication and open dialogue with peers and the management team. These relationships must be built on respect, integrity, cooperation, teamwork, and professionalism

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science/Arts in Accounting or Finance.

CPA is required.

10+ years of accounting experience in a services industry preferred.

Ability to be a trusted leader in a business transformation in a fast-paced environment is key.

Experience in a private equity backed company is desirable but not required.

Experience with mergers and acquisitions preferred.

Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experienced at driving improvement in internal controls.

Strong Excel skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Consistently operates at the highest level of integrity and is never willing to compromise with regards to ethical standards.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint and superior knowledge of Excel

Experience with Google Docs and Apple/Mac Operating System preferred

Willingness to submit to any requested background checks
