Globaltech Solutions Hiring for Software Automation Engineer at Red Deer, AB Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Software Automation Engineer to design testing procedures for our software applications. In this role, will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. You will also be required to identify bugs, install databases, and collaborate with the software design team.

Main Responsibilities

You will be working closely with your team members to build automated test suites to verify the quality, security, and scalability.
Engage with product and engineering team to deliver component, integration and E2E tests to ensure all requirements, features, or stories have been fully tested and accepted by the stakeholders prior to deployment.
Understand how APIs are consumed as user journeys via Mobile application and verify these journeys with manual and automated test suites.
Performing Functional/Non-functional testing as required by the team.
Working with the wider MATTR engineering team, you will be constantly improving our engineering processes, tools and standards.
Becoming a subject matter expert in decentralized identity, engaging with the standards community, and ensuring our solutions are delivering value to our consumers.
You will keep track of new/emerging test tools and industry trends and make suggestions for improvement of existing test frameworks.

Job Requirements

Have an eye for detail, methodical approach to testing software artifacts and strong understanding of testing discipline.
Have experience designing, describing and implementing automated and manual API test cases.
At least 3+ years of testing experience as a Senior QA within a complex technology business environment.
Significant experience in building API test automation framework(s) from scratch across varying levels of architecture.
Prior experience with Mobile Testing or a willingness to learn and explore Mobile Test and Mobile Test Automation.
Have prior experience in creating Test Automation strategy and framework using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Have prior experience in setting up/using CI-CD pipelines.
Have a strong understanding of Non-Functional and Security testing.
Have excellent communications and written skills and must be able to talk about technology intelligently and passionately to all levels of an organization including Developers, Architects and senior management
Likely have previous start-up experience and enjoy working in open source / developer communities
Have strong organizational skills and enjoy a dynamic and agile environment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $24.00-$71.00 per hour
