Global Relay Hiring for Junior Software Development Engineer in Test at Kelowna, BC Full Time

Your Role::
As a Junior Software Development Engineer in Test (Jr. SDET), you will be part of a small, highly focused team responsible for delivery of highly scalable and robust services within Global Relay’s platform. In this entry level position, you will work as part of an agile development team and work directly in code on testing solutions for web applications and API services of a large scale system.

Your Job:
Be part of an agile development team and participate in team planning and story grooming

Test application code to find and report defects

Define and automate test cases

Conduct code reviews and improve the quality of automation code

Contribute to decisions in the architecture and design of test frameworks

Support the release of new software

Learn about our customers, products, systems, methods and tools.

About You:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field, or comparable work experience

Proficiency with Java and Python

An aptitude for problem finding and solving

An interest in software quality and in quality assurance and testing as a career

Experience with any of the following is an asset:
Development and testing practices in an agile environment

Testing backend systems or APIs, and tools such as Postman or SOAPUI

Testing web applications with Selenium WebDriver

Testing frameworks such as JUnit or pytest

Testing performance with JMeter or similar tools

Web services technology such as REST and JSON

Database technology and SQL

Continuous integration systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo
