Entry Level Programmer

The Entry-level Programmer, the candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software programs. They will work under the guidance of senior programmers and collaborate with other team members to ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards. A broad knowledge of computer and application security is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in one or more programming languages.
• Test and debug software to ensure that it works as expected and meets all requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with other team members to ensure that software is of high quality and meets all design specifications.
• Maintain and update existing software programs as needed.
• Learn new programming languages, tools, and technologies as required.
• Follow best practices for software development, including version control, testing, and documentation.
• Develops and maintains documentation of application development and revisions.
• Provides training to end users.
• Build applicable standards that contribute to the foundational integrity and growth of the company
• Performs other related duties as needed/assigned by the CTO and Senior Dynamics Developer

Qualifications and Requirements

• An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of programming concepts and principles.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience with software development tools, such as IDEs, compilers, and debuggers.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git or SVN.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver time-pressured projects on-time and on-quality

Physical Demands & Abilities

• Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
• Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
• Frequently work in on projects that require deadlines

Working Conditions

• This position is onsite at our Sarasota Facility
• Work will be mostly completed in a climate controlled office environment, but often requires working in the climate controlled warehouse
