Main Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day employee operational activities, ensuring all queries are dealt with and escalating any complex queries to the Head of Human Resources.
Manage and provide support and guidance to the HR Operational team.
Serve as the subject matter expert for HRIS systems, processes, and procedures.
Focus on continuous improvement efforts to identify efficiencies and continue to streamline processes while ensuring data accuracy for all stakeholders.
Drive communications on process and system improvements with the HR teams/partners across the UK.
To manage core HR operations from HR Systems and processes, employee relations, appraisals and HR metrics to support executive decision-making.
Assist the Head of Human Resources in managing and delivering appropriate projects that support the continuous development and improvement of the HR function.
Ensure the effective maintenance and data integrity of all appropriate records, including HRIS systems and other databases.
Monitor legislation and legal provisions that may affect HR operational processes and ensure GBS is in legal compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR and employment law.
To manage all disciplinary and grievances providing timely, compliant and accurate advice to ensure disputes are resolved satisfactorily
To manage the occupational health referral process, ensuring a timely response from the provider
To own the right to work compliance checks, ensuring checks made to ensure all employees right to work documents are valid
Working closely with the Learning and Development department to identify manager training needs ensuring manager compliance in statutory and policy process.
Conduct confidential internal investigations into allegations of violations of GBS policies to ensure fair treatment of all employees
To provide critical input to the development, planning, interpretation, implementation and consistent application of policies, practices and procedures across the company
Manage or participate in special projects/programs / continuous improvement initiatives requiring ER stakeholder input, as needed
To provide high-quality advice, coaching to line managers to ensure effective delivery of, Disciplinary, Grievance, Absence Management Processes, and Code of Conduct/Speak Up investigations.
Independently manage own caseload and of varying levels of complexity to ensure that matters are handled efficiently, fairly and consistently.
Requirements
Degree qualified and at least CIPD Level 5 qualified
Significant experience in an HR Operational role responsible for systems and processes
Experience in working across multiple geographies
Able to demonstrate commercial expertise having created and implemented effective Operational People practices and processes
Comfortable in developing team members
Solid employment law knowledge and proven experience of applying updated legislation to a variety of People situations
Extensive experience dealing with complex ER cases is of utmost importance, along with exceptional employment law knowledge
A sense of ownership, initiative, and drive
Evidence of going the extra mile and beyond your remit
Outstanding communication skills and trustworthiness in a professional services environment
Proven organisation skills and ability to prioritise
