GLI Truck Dispatch Services Inc Hiring for Remote Truck Dispatcher (Contract Basis) at Remote Full Time

The dispatcher will be responsible for securing and coordinating loads for carriers as well as maintaining close communication with brokers, shippers and the carriers to ensure loads are picked and delivered on time. Loads scheduled will consist of loads secured directly from shipper, broker or loads sourced directly from the loadboard. We serve both regional and over the road carriers that primarily operate with dry van and reefer trailers. Past experience in this category would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure carriers are assigned the right loads and are kept loaded majority of the time by dispatching the trucks based on carrier’s preference and available hours.
• Monitor status of loads scheduled for pick up and delivery to ensure loads scheduled are picked up and delivered on time.
• Be prepared to make changes to schedule to address day to day issues that may arise
• Address and resolve issues that may arise from scheduled loads, through close communication with broker and shipper.
• Keep carrier up to date with schedule plan for the next few days and maintain close communication with carrier representative on day to day basis.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in trucking and dispatching preferred.
• Good understanding of FMCSA Regulation
• This position requires someone with good written and verbal communication skills.
