Glenorchy City Council Hiring for Finance Officer Job at Glenorchy Full Time

Glenorchy City Council has an outstanding opportunity for an entry level Finance professional to join our team. We are looking for a suitably qualified Finance Officer who is a great communicator, has a passion for numbers, is keen to learn and is looking for a position that will give them a valuable entry into a diverse and interesting workplace. In return you will receive support from an experienced team who will foster your knowledge of technical accounting and its practical application as well as providing you with valuable experience and insight into the broader finance functions across Council. This role will undertake a wide variety of finance tasks including reports, reconciliations, ledger maintenance, journals and financial analysis.

This position would ideally suit a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience in a diverse public organisation.

The successful applicant will have:

• High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organisation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of modern financial systems and practices.
• Understanding of finance policies, practices, procedures, and systems.
• Excellent skills in Financial and Microsoft software systems.
• Demonstrated experience in a team environment.

Qualifications required:

• Completion of a Bachelor of Commerce or Business, or equivalent qualification.

Position Hours: Full-Time, 75 hours fortnight.

Salary range: $67,374.44 to $75,769.32 plus superannuation
