Hours – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in office 3-5 days per week

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Sr. Manager – Distribution and Logistics is to support strategic and continuous improvement initiatives for US Distribution and Logistics functions. This role will have an overall understanding of Distribution and Logistics business processes that enable him/her to lead business improvement initiatives and perform support roles in execution of large scale business change initiatives. The Sr. Manager will provide project and change management and oversight for facilities to ensure US Distribution facilities and office buildings are in compliance with OSHA and cGMP regulations at all times.

A key responsibility will be building consensus and alignment across various functional groups. The right candidate will have the ability to drive process design, stakeholder management, communication plans and training efforts within the project environment and support transition from current state to future vision.

OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate, monitor and lead cross-functional teams ensuring key objectives and project deliverables are met on time and within budget and processes are designed to ensure compliance and efficiency at all times.
• Own responsibility for project management and support all aspects of change management including but not limited to: strategic planning for effective space and facility utilization, distribution network transformation projects, ongoing support of Distribution technologies, SOP/Work instruction changes, training plans for end users.
• Prepare, organize and lead logistics projects and bids with current and potential suppliers for transportation (FTL, TL and small parcel) and warehousing activities to maintain best-in-class service, cost and contract compliance.
• Continually assess suppliers to ensure our company receives competitive cost, quality and service.
• Responsible for implementing continuous improvement through Operations excellence programs.
• Support distribution operations on day-to-day production support and continuous improvement initiatives from solution development to implementation.
• Metrics and Dashboards – Develop and deploy internal controls and organization metrics dashboards including data analysis to support business decisions.
• Develop collaborative working relationship with Distribution operations team to ensure alignment to right carrier selection and shipping schedule.
• Monitors carrier performance and compliance. Creates trend s that drive performance improvements for all modes of transportation.
• Perform regular risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure continuous, efficient operation of facilities.
• Manage direct relationship with landlords and/or property managers to ensure correct building maintenance and compliance with the agreements signed in the lease contract.
• Oversees all building renovations, including office moves, design and configuration
• Develops programs, policies, and processes to support and optimize facility services
• Ensure compliance with company policy for procurement of facility services and goods.
• Develops and implements the Company’s disaster/continuity operations planning strategies
• Supports Sr. Director, US Distribution and Logistics in building and managing budgets that support current and future growth opportunities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Industrial Engineering or related field with 7+ years of Project Management experience in the areas of Distribution/Logistics, including 5+ years of business process development, continuous improvement initiatives, data analysis and KPI ing.

Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical)

• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution concepts (GDP, GXP)
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
• Problem solving and an ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work within a diverse team environment.
• Knowledge of FDA, cGMP and other regulatory requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint and Visio)
