Reporting to the Superintendent – Human Resources, this residential role based in Mount Isa will enable you to broaden your experience at the frontline of the business and collaborate with leaders to attract and recruit high calibre talent through innovative sourcing.

About the role/key accountabilities:

As a Recruitment Advisor, you will join a team of skilled, multi-disciplined human resources professionals, assisting in establishing and communicating the strategic direction of our mining operations. You will work closely with our key stakeholders on their recruitment needs, advising our leaders on labour market insights, recruitment best practices, proactively sourcing and attracting potential talent to Glencore. You will also be a positive driver of change, and have the ability to effectively communicate across all work groups. This role will engage your operational and strategic thinking, providing opportunities to develop and grow your HR skills on a daily basis.

About you:

As a qualified Human Resources professional, you will have proven experience in both technical and trade recruitment preferably in a fast-paced environment, combined with excellent influencing, coaching and relationship building skills. Ideally your experience will include contribution to the operational functions in a human resources department for a mining operation.

Experience would include:

• At least 5 years’ experience in recruitment is preferred, with a mix of agency and in house experience.
• Preferably a degree qualification but not essential.
• Demonstrable direct sourcing experience with an innovative approach to finding talent.
• Resilient, agile, able to deal with objections and demanding requests from senior stakeholders.
• Proven communication skills and stakeholder management / engagement
