The Role
We are looking for a Management Accountant to join us within the Finance Team (Queensland Metals).

The role will be critical to overall cost control processes and will interact with managers in the business to understand costs as well as deliver month end reports with value added analysis. The role will report to the Superintendent Finance – Processing and has the opportunity to be part of multiple processing functions in the business. Overview of the role including direct reports, key relationships, key goal, opportunities and challenges.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Operating cost and capital analysis for the Processing department
• Preparation and interpretation of month end internal management results
• Review and assist with capital expense requests including financial evaluations (NPV) and managing the capital process
• Fixed asset accounting
• Budgeting and forecasting activities
• Partner and liaise with stakeholders
• Process management & financial accounting transactions
• Facilitate audit queries and provide compliance & governance support
• Perform business improvement projects, as well as ad hoc project.

The successful applicants will have:

• Tertiary qualifications – Accounting/ Commerce
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards it
• Strong analysis and management accounting skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong Excel knowledge
• The ability to liaise with all levels across the operation and work independently
• Excellent time management; as well as the ability to produce reliable, highly accurate reporting within specified timeframe.
