Minara Resources has an opportunity for an IT Support Officer to join our established and dedicated team.

Minara Resources is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role
The successful person will be responsible for providing Level 1 IT support to users based in Perth and Murrin Murrin. You will be the first point of contact for the IT Team, providing professional customer service assistance to ensure that issues are resolved or escalated in a timely manner.

You will be responsible for:

• Log all reported IT requests/issues and perform Level 1-2 troubleshooting, escalation, or resolution as part of the incident management process
• Support requests include user and password management, troubleshooting Windows desktop and Microsoft application issues either via remote control tools, telephone, MS Teams, or in-person.
• Monitoring and managing IT support requests through the internal ticketing system
• Escalating support requests and working with the Site IT Team to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Management of User accounts in line with the company’s Global Naming Standard
• Create and maintain documentation to further assist the IT Team
• Provide user training as required
• Hardware setup, software installation and providing IT guidance to user base
• Site visits may be necessary for training and support purposes

About You
This role would suit someone with a diverse skill set and the ability to prioritise effectively and multi-task in what can be a challenging role from day to day. You will also have:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar IT support role – minimum 1-2 years;
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft operating systems and applications (Active Directory, MECM, Windows Server, Windows 10, Office Products);
• Experience in supporting VMware virtual desktop and server environments
• Involvement in application and standard operating environment deployments;
• Strong team player, excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
• Ability to work independently, prioritise, multi-task and to be proactive;
• Microsoft and VMWare certifications would be highly regarded; and
• Adaptability – A willingness to learn new things.
