An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, proactive and outcome focused HR Generalist to join the HR Team at CSA Mine in Cobar, NSW. You will have the opportunity to be a part of an engaged and hardworking operational team which are highly focused on service delivery and continuous improvement.
CSA Mine is one of the world’s most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people.
In this role you will:
  • Establish yourself as an HR expert to support and collaborate with the HR and operational teams
  • Advise on employee relations, performance management, policy and legislative interpretation, remuneration, and employee welfare.
  • Engage in operational administration, processing position changes and payroll, ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislative requirements
  • Create and implement end to end recruitment strategies
  • Undertake employee relations investigations
The successful applicant will have:
  • Current Australian Driver’s License (minimum P2 or equivalent)
  • A proactive and hands-on HR professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an operational HR generalist role
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline with a thirst to learn more
  • Experienced using MS Office Suite and HR software programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A formidable problem solver, always looking to improve how we do things
  • Able to thrive in an ever-evolving and fast-paced environment
  • Experienced in mining or heavy industry is highly regarded
Location
Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions. Entertainment options include restaurants, pubs, and clubs for dining out. You will be kept busy with a bowling and golf club, rugby and rugby league teams, race club, pony club, Olympic size swimming pool, gym – and more! The town boasts beautiful parks, two reservoirs, picnic areas and playgrounds. The youth club Youthie is a vibrant children’s hub with a games room, gym and weights room, squash courts, sauna, indoor stadium, outdoor basketball court and a skate park.
