We are seeking an Experienced CAD administrator to join our team in Brisbane. This role is to manage and administer CAD procedures, standards and practices. Manage the software licences required in the Engineering Department. Ensure adequate systems and procedures are in place and maintained for the CAD, DMS and other Engineering Systems to reflect how work is performed by the Engineering Department. Provide support for the Design Drafters and Design Office Supervisor. This position reports directly to the Drawing Office Supervisor.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing and Administering CAD & Engineering Software and related hardware
• Ensuring adequate systems and procedures are in place and maintained for the CAD, DMS and other Engineering Systems to reflect how work is performed by the Engineering Department
• Providing technical support for the Design Office and Engineering department
• Participating in continuous improvement for the Design Office
• Preparing Piping and Instrumentation specs for Plant
• Developing and implementing training programs for CAD software used in GT
• Conducting research of new and emerging CAD/DMS technologies to be utilised in GT

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Qualifications in Mechanical Design or Engineering with a CAD based stream
• Advanced understanding of IT would be advantageous but not essential
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CAD administrator or CAD admin support role relating to Autodesk products
• Ability to provide technical support and solutions to CAD related problems
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written on a technical level
• Commitment to customer (CAD Designers) support and high attention to detail
• Experience in Inventor, Vault, AutoDesk Plant 3D and P&ID is an advantage
