Responsibilities of an Accounting Assistant:

Accounting (80%):

• Match packing slips for received products to the corresponding PO, investigate and resolve variances, and enter the receipt into the Company’s Accounting System (two-way match)

• Enter AP invoices that do not pass through the document imaging system into the Company’s Accounting System

• Invoice customer for shipments from GLC Minerals and GLC Integrated Services

• Assist with other accounting tasks as needed

Customer Care (10%)

• Answer customer order calls, emails, and faxes; place orders; and maintain open orders report as a backup to the Customer Care team

• Act as a backup for setting up new customers, ensuring all necessary forms are complete and on file

Office Assistance (10%)

• Order and maintain office supplies

• Pick up and distribute inbound mail

• Process Customer and Vendor mailings, including statements, past due letters, and checks

• Maintain the office common areas in accordance with standard guidelines for office image. Office image includes keeping common areas free of clutter, sweeping the lobby and entrance periodically, ensuring the conference room stays neat, and overseeing the office cleaning service.

• Complete other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications for an Accounting Assistant:

• Associates degree in Business-related field or equivalent experience

• Proficient in oral and written communication

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point

• Experience with Dynamics GP a plus, but not required

• Willing to adapt and grow as new skill sets are needed to fulfill the role
