As an HR Business Partner you’ll play a critical role in delivering Glasgow Life’s people strategy by supporting and influencing your service area to embed future focused HR options and solutions. You’ll continually drive improvements by leading on key HR and business related projects and will play a crucial role in supporting with designing, implementation, reviewing and evaluation of initiatives. By developing a detailed understanding of your service areas, you’ll provide tailored support at all levels as well as utilising HR metrics to advise and support line managers with any areas for attention. Playing a key role in driving a high performance culture, you’ll support the delivery of the performance management framework within your service area and lead on actions arising relating to industrial relations, employee relations and learning and development. You’ll also play an important role in influencing and shaping policy.
Who are we looking for?
You’ll be a customer focused HR professional with experience in a similar role within a diverse, complex, multi-disciplinary organisation providing expert advice and guidance. Your communication skills will be second to none, allowing you to build effective relationships with managers, trade union or employee representatives and staff, gaining credibility, respect and confidence. You’ll be resilient and used to dealing with a busy workload in a pressurised environment and will have well developed organisation and prioritisation skills. You’ll be someone who relishes challenge and enjoys developing effective solutions whilst utilising your detailed knowledge and understanding of great HR practice.
