The opportunity where you will make an impact:

The FY22 Business Plan for UK&I is highly ambitious, with a Net Revenue target of $122.3m – representing 11% growth year on year versus FY21 – and an EBITA target of 12%. Which maintains the trajectory of the business towards its FY24 strategic target of $140m Net Sales and 20% EBITA, underpinned by a number of exciting business development and growth strategies.
The UK&I finance team play a critical role in delivery of this business strategy. The role of the Senior Finance Analyst, UK&I, is to lead the provision of high-quality FP&A for the UK&I business; in order to manage performance and help inform and influence business decision-making. In addition, to play a key role in driving the mission of the UK&I Finance team to embed an analytical, data-led, business approach, supported by BI systems integration and accurate & timely financial information. To be the lead point of contact for the Central FP&A and Operations / Supply Finance teams, with a clear mandate to drive improvements in process and reporting outputs (efficiency / automation / analytics).

Principal Accountabilities
  • UK&I Finance team lead for FP&A, responsible for leading the UK&I month-end process and for the production and coordination of all reporting deliverables into the Central FP&A team;
  • Lead on business planning and mid-year forecasting processes, coordinating interfaces between the business teams, Finance and Central FP&A team to produce fully appraised plans;
  • Work with the UK&I Finance Manager and team to improve key focus areas of reporting, forecasting and analysis within FY22, including; Consumption analytics and data standardisation, Trade Spend review and SG&A insight / efficiencies;
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager and Finance PM to integrate and embed the JDA Collaborate roll-out into business forecasting processes and achieve clear alignment of commercial and financial rolling forecasts;
  • Focus on driving continual improvements in performance reporting for UK&I – efficiency / quality / timing / analysis. Ensure that the benefits of the Project Bumblebee roll-out are maximised and fully leveraged to enhance reporting automation and reduce manual month-end reporting processes;
  • Work proactively with the business teams to improve analytics and insights;
  • Work closely with the Operations / Supply finance teams to improve month-end processes and information flows around Standard Costs / Other COGs;
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager on key analysis development areas for FY22, such as Channel / Retailer / SKU profitability analysis;
  • Provide objective analysis, as required, to support the Sales, Marketing, RGM and Finance teams in making strategic planning and spend decisions within the UK&I business;
  • Ad hoc financial modelling and analysis, as required.

What you will bring to GPN:

  • Minimum 3 years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA);
  • Clear evidence of delivering and developing high-quality FP&A within an organisation or division;
  • Advanced working knowledge of SAP and Business Objects;
  • Advanced user experience in BI systems, notably SAP Analytics Cloud and Tableau;
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial principles, as well as technical accounting skills;
  • Advanced Excel user and strong PowerPoint skills.

Desirable
  • Industry experience;
  • Commercial finance experience;
  • Ariba experience;
  • Experience with Power BI, JDA, Vendor Central and Google Analytics.
