In Europe, our main manufacturing hub is based in Middlesbrough, UK. The Middlesbrough site is an important part of our business and enables growth in our markets in the UK and Europe. The site is home to over 300 employees and agency colleagues in an end-to-end Product Supply team, spanning functions such as Procurement, Planning, Engineering, Logistics and our manufacturing Operations team. In addition, the role will also deliver HRBP support to our Customer Service team in Dublin, Ireland. This role forms part of a senior Supply Leadership Team as well as being part of the International HR team.
Our Product Supply hub will continue to play a key role in enabling our growth ambition across the EU and UK. This role will sit at the heart of this growth, as the Senior HR Business Partner will lead our overall end-to-end people strategy across the function, including performance, reward, learning, talent management, organization design, engagement and employee relations. The appointee will also have opportunities to partner with their HR peers in other areas of International on broader people-related projects.

The opportunity where you will make an impact: Partner with the Product Supply teams to develop a purpose driven, values led culture that enables high performance. As a member of the European Product Supply Leadership team, lead the thinking on our overall people strategy and contribute to the shaping of the overall strategy for the function. Develop and deliver an inspiring people strategy to support the business strategy and the functional agenda. Coach and support the Product Supply Director to build a high-performing Leadership Team. Broader leadership outside of core accountabilities to create and sustain a high performing culture as part of the Supply Leadership team. Coach and mentor the Leadership Team members, in support of high performance and leadership effectiveness. Bring a deep understanding of the “pulse” of the organisation to the Leadership Team and inspire leadership accountability for employee engagement and development Partner with Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition to source high quality talent. Work with the leadership team to facilitate to identify talent / high potential employees and build appropriate career plans and strategic succession planning. Champion our Values through individual leadership and overall leadership of our culture agenda in the function. Partner with COEs and the broader HR team to (1) deploy global initiatives and (2) to influence the development of global initiatives, in service of the Product Supply function. Lead the thinking on organisation effectiveness and operating models, to deliver the structure & capabilities required to deliver the strategy. Partnering with the Plant Manager to determine our overall capacity needs, including our agency labour pool. Together with line managers, identify the training needs of those in the team and decide how to deliver the most appropriate learning interventions. Champion and lead the implementation of a learning culture, including great development and career planning. Through recruitment, development and engagement activities, champion our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda in the function. Provide advice and support to Managers in order to resolve employee relations issues across and proactively driving high performance in the teams. Engage and educate managers to ensure active management of all performance issues through informal and formal processes. Facilitate appropriate training for line managers and update them on legislative developments. Support employees and managers through the performance management process, ensuring process and best practice is followed Ad-hoc Projects: Take up projects in support of wider HR agenda, collaborating with the teams in the wider Glanbia group.
Key Challenges and Success Measures: Achievement of key projects set by the VP HR in conjunction with the Product Supply LT. Deliver a healthy talent pipeline for the future. Facilitate delivery of YOY improvement in engagement. Design and deploy key capability interventions to support the strategy. Effectively deliver against HR and business agenda on agreed strategic priorities across the commercial functions. Effective optimisation of HR Processes, policy and service delivery and effective use of the HR systems. Effective support on change and transformation within the business and providing pro-active partnering to the line managers in the business.
What you will bring to GPN: A track record of experience working in a fast paced, operational environment and the ability to be successful in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders. The agility and flexibility to adapt to a changing agenda over time, underpinned by the ability to create excitement for a long-term people strategy. Proven track record of broad HR operational delivery including operational excellence, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance, change management, org re-design and reward. A track record of providing coaching and mentoring support to stakeholders. Demonstrated success in identifying innovative people solutions, and then deploying the solution. Strong business acumen with ability to translate business and HR needs into action. The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a high level of professionalism and a proven track record in influencing senior stakeholders. Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage own work load. Degree/ Masters and CIPD qualified.
