We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions with the responsibilities of auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide accurate quantitative information on client’s financial position, liquidity and cash flows.

The Accountant will assist and guide our current bookkeeping staff with questions they may have and direct them in proper accounting procedures when necessary. You will have direct client contact and will troubleshoot issues and assist clients with questions and concerns that the bookkeepers cannot resolve.

You will use accounting and bookkeeping software such as Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks Desktop to stay organized. You will report directly to the owner of the organization and will engage outside CPA firms to prepare financial statements and tax returns as needed.

You will have at least 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role and advanced accounting and bookkeeping software experience. You will have an aptitude for business and be detail oriented and have experience with financial statements and tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Publish financial statements in time

• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality
• Comply with financial policies and regulations

Skills

• Work experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks ONLINE and QuickBooks Desktop
• Experience with general ledger functions

• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• Manage journal entries and general ledger accounts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
