Job Overview
Responsible to ensure that goods are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities. The role will also be tasked with evaluating freight services, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with chosen vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage product distribution activities to achieve the company’s long-term plan (LTP)
• Oversee and maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Assist in prepare annual budget and identify variations from budget or estimates and ensure the development and implementation of agreed-upon corrective actions to ensure achievement of overall annual results
• Implement new distribution strategies to obtain profitability.
• Lead, coach and develop personnel including providing feedback and conducting formal evaluations, to ensure having the right resource skills, competencies and expertise to meet department and agreed-upon business objectives of the company
• Oversee daily operations of team members and provide assistance whenever needed
• Analyze existing distribution procedures and recommend improvements for both within specific locations and for Give & Go as a company
• Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts
• Issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
• Monitor and manage inventories at distribution center, identifying the appropriate resources and assigned workload needed to properly handle storage.
• Maintain documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of condition of fleet MHE.
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of condition of warehouse racking.
• Ensure the accuracy of 3rd party pallet pool inventories.

Recipe for Success:

• Completion of college degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment, specifically in the Food Manufacturing industry
• Previous experience managing in a high-speed, automated manufacturing operation is an asset
• Effective leadership skills to influence & coach stakeholders to positively impact plant/business processes
• Critical thinking, sound judgement, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and employee engagement skills are a must
• Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
• Must possess financial acumen to manage, measure, and improve operational effectiveness and profitability
• Must have strong computer (MS Office) and project management skills
