We currently have an opportunity for a dedicated individual who shares our vision of helping Girl Scouts change the world for the better. Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington is seeking someone who loves the outdoors to work as a Camp Ranger at our camp in Stevenson, WA. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the property and ensuring users of the property have a safe and rewarding camp experience.
**The Ranger must live on-site.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll ensure that the site is in good repair, safe, environmentally sensitive, and accessible. You’ll provide general maintenance, construction, and custodial services, per the council’s policies and standards. You’ll work closely with volunteers, camp directors, and other council staff to ensure that all authorized site users have a successful and safe camping experience. In collaborating with the Director of Property, you’ll be responsible for making day-to-day decisions in prioritizing projects, acquiring, and using resources within accountabilities and budget. In this role, you’ll participate fully in construction projects at camp. You’ll also provide mentorship, training, and day-to-day supervision of an Assistant Camp Ranger, in partnership with the Director of Property.
