Position: Accounting Specialist / Thousand Oaks – position is based out of our corporate office in Newbury Park / Thousand Oaks area

Reports To: Controller

Job Summary: Responsible for all aspects of the Payroll cycle, including reconcile general ledger with regard to payroll transactions. Assist Controller for budget reports. Provide support activities to accounts payable as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Process the payroll with ADP Workforce Now system

· Reconcile general ledger with regard to payroll transactions

· Maintain and document all payroll records

· Familiarize yourself and keep current on taxation of salaries, benefits and other factors

· Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications

· Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

· Conduct annual audits of all payroll records

· Bank reconciliations

· Monthly budget report

Job Qualifications:

· Three years+ work experience in an accounting position is required.

· Two years+ work experience in Payroll

· Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.

· Prior Accounting software experience (ERP software preferred)

· Proficient in MS Office with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including formatting and linking spreadsheets) and a familiarity with computers as to effectively utilize multiple programs and applications

· Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality

· Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail

· Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

· Expectation to multitask job duties/responsibilities

· Desire to learn, take on incremental responsibility, and work in a team atmosphere is essential

· BA degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

· Non-exempt full time position, no remote opportunities
