Job Role: EHS Specialist-Senior Level
Salary: £45+ per hour

The role is responsible for working with the Site leadership to develop and deploy Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs & policies to mitigate risk, drive regulatory compliance and establish a positive EHS culture. The EHS Lead will be responsible for day-to-day EHS leadership and support, which includes the development, planning and implementation of Environmental Health and Safety programs based on local regulations and Policies.

Roles and Responsibilities
*Manage implementation of EHS programs by operationalizing EHS partnering with leadership to ensure compliance with applicable laws, local regulations and policies.
* EHS technical expertise in managing High Risk Operations; including LOTO, Electrical, PPE, Management of Change (MOC), Risk Assessment, Emergency Preparedness, Work at height etc.
* Drive rigor and execution to EHS programs, EHS objectives & metrics integrate EHS in day to day operations.
* Drive active EHS engagement & management of change.
* Influence cross functional teams to operationalize and standardize EHS work practices
* Lead incident investigations and drive closure of effective corrective/preventive actions using Taproot, 8D or 5-Why methodologies
* Analyse trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performance
* Interact with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies as needed
* Execute required actions to implement and operationalize a sustainable EHS management system (EHS Framework 3.0)
* Drive EHS compliance and programs effectiveness through audits, process / equipment reviews and site inspections
* Manage key performance Indicators (KPI) for the Site and drive necessary efforts to achieve them
* Assure 100% completion of training, audits and other compliance aspects throughout the organization
* Experience of chemical management or product stewardship and/or sustainability
* Support engineering and manufacturing to deliver safe and sustainable products to the customer
* Liaise with other Stafford and Regional EHS Managers, Property Specialists, FM Company, Occupational Health to promote best practice and consistency, including local EHS management procedures

Required Qualifications
* Bachelors/Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety and Certificate in Environmental Management.
* 6+ years experience leading environmental and safety compliance programs in a manufacturing environment including ISO 14001 & 45001 management systems
* Familiar with incident investigation methodologies including 5-Why etc.
* Excellent communications skills
* Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and influence teams, drive change and interact cross
