GHT Limited Consulting Engineers Hiring for Senior Fire Protection Engineer at Arlington, VA Full Time

GHT Limited, a leading DC metro area MEP engineering consulting firm located in Arlington, VA seeks a bright and motivated Senior Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of experience in fire and protection design.

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in preparing technical design specifications; managing complex fire and life safety projects and programs; and providing life safety analysis of projects to ensure code compliance while meeting intended design criteria. To identify solutions to unusually difficult problems requiring application of technical expertise, developed problem-solving and analytical skills are a must.

While possessing good visual, verbal, and written communication skills, the applicant must reflect a commitment to client satisfaction and responsiveness as well as be motivated to excel, able to work both independently and in a team setting, and capable of providing direction and coordination of project teams. The ability to maintain and update knowledge of all national, state, and local building/fire codes and standards as well as remain current with the latest technology is required. The candidate must also possess a registered fire protection engineer license in Virginia, Maryland or the District of Columbia with proper credentials to allow reciprocal licensing in other jurisdictions as needed.

The successful candidate shall have experience managing employees and providing technical mentoring to junior engineers. Experience writing proposals, estimating job costs, and interfacing with clients is a must.
