GGWP Hiring for Sr Frontend Engineer at Remote Full Time

GGWP is a fast-paced start-up co-founded by four successful entrepreneurs with the backing of key strategic investors in the video game industry. GGWP aims to curb toxicity in gaming by creating positive, player centric experiences. We are working with popular online video games who are aligned with our mission.

As a Sr. Front End Engineer, you will primarily work with the team to build components of the GGWP website/portal and in game reputation portals/screens. You will collaborate closely with Engineering Leads, Architects, and Product teams to build and test applications. You will review requirements with Product Managers and Analysts. For game integrations you may also need to work closely with customer teams.

We are seeking talented Sr. Front End engineers to join our team. Your responsibilities as a Sr. Front End Engineer will include:

• Strong collaboration experience with Design and UX to prototype user interactions
• Develop features to enhance the user experience
• Work with Architects and Engineering leads to build scalable software
• Turn wireframes and design mockups into pixel perfect web applications
• Develop modular and scalable code for future use
• Ensure that pages are optimized for speed/responsiveness and scalability
• Maintain brand consistency through design
• Testing and fixing bugs
• Create security and data protection settings

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of industry experience as a Front End Engineer
• Proficiency with multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JS)
• Experience with component-based UI development systems like ReactJS.
• Experience in working with SCSS and architecting large scale css and component system
• Strong experience using best practices when working with REST APIs
• Experience in developing secure web applications and knowledge of application vulnerabilities such as Cross Site Scripting (XSS), Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF) etc.
• Ability to think critically and creatively in a dynamic environment, while picking up new tools and domain knowledge along the way
• A positive attitude, and a growth mindset
• Great attention to detail
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Bonus:

• A passion for gaming =)
• Experience creating advanced UI animation using css and JS
• Experience with Webpack, or other tools used to optimize and maintain front-end build systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
