Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for organizing the required personnel and equipment for maximum efficiency while exceeding our safety and service requirements. As the main point of contact between GFL and our customers, the Logistic Coordinator will have exceptional communication skills with an eye for detail and understanding of the work performed within the division. This individual will also serve as the main point of contact for all Logistics employees and will be responsible for coordinating the operations requirements for this division of the business.
Job Duties
Accountable for upholding the GFL safety and service standards within the two districts..
Responsible for overseeing the personnel management of the logistics staff including reviewing daily hours / completing sign off, monitoring driver logs, coordinating new employee training with HR, reviewing and approving leave requests, and daily communication with all operators
Management of customer calls including the scheduling of customer call-ins based on scheduling parameters
Continued system management to retain & improve efficiencies.
Assist with incident investigations including corrective action development.
Other projects as requested by Managers.
Work with management for scheduling PM servicing on all roadgoing units
Create & maintain daily runs for drivers. Printing run-sheets and associated paperwork.
Close out prior days work and work with admins to ensure paperwork in order.
Requirements
Excellent interpersonal skills
Waste management industry experience an asset.
Dispatch experience an asset.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
Class 5 Driver’s License
Computer skills.
Customer service skills.
Flexible shift hours & remote work.
