Role Overview
In this role, you will assist 50-70 individuals daily with various aspects of their healthcare needs, including primary care providers, medications, transportation to appointments, and inquiries about their benefits. Using multiple web-based systems, your knowledge and empathetic approach will greatly enhance our members’ quality of life. This full-time position requires a Monday through Friday commitment with the flexibility to work any 8-hour shift between 8 AM and 8 PM EST.
Training and Development
The initial extensive training is scheduled from 8 AM to 4:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday, for the first seven weeks. This role is both challenging and rewarding, requiring you to research complex issues related to health status and plan options while navigating through multiple databases. Fluency in computer navigation is essential as you toggle between systems, providing confident and compassionate support to our callers.
Key Responsibilities
Resolve customer inquiries on the first call by identifying the needs such as benefits, eligibility, claims, and more.
Educate and guide customers on consumer-driven health care topics, helping them select the best plan options and maximize their health benefits.
Facilitate communication with care providers on behalf of customers for appointment scheduling or specialist consultations.
Assist customers in navigating websites, promoting self-sufficiency and reassurance.

Qualifications
High School Diploma required
Minimum Of One Year Experience In Insurance Operations
Computer proficiency is a must
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in health care/insurance (familiar with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)
Background in social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, or health promotion
Comprehensive customer service experience with complex problem-solving
