HR Manager – Hertford

Salary £38K – £45K

We are working on behalf of an upmarket, destination retail business in Hertfordshire who are recruiting for someone to manage their HR functions across their small collection of out of town destination stores.

The role is to manage all core HR departmental areas, including payroll, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and resourcing, and provide focused and pragmatic generalist and operational HR support including HR admin, learning and development, recruitment, employee relations, whilst maintaining and improving HR systems.

You’ll need to be a hands on HR Manager, comfortable leading the team from the front, engaging with the rest of the leadership team and store colleagues. You’ll have a lot more flexibility to come up with, and implement your own ideas, than would be the case in many other larger businesses. If on the other hand you prefer to work within a much more rigid corporate structure, and particularly if you’d really like to spend all day looking at spreadsheets in the back office, this is unlikely to be the role for you!

Retail sector experience is not required.
