Schedule procedures: Determine the time needed for procedures, liaise with facilities to ensure scheduling is efficient, and arrange anesthesia coverage.
Manage authorizations: Obtain necessary patient authorizations from insurance companies and facilities.
Collect fees: Collect appropriate fees associated with procedures.
Ensure provider credentialing: Verify that providers are credentialed before scheduling patients.
Coordinate schedules: Ensure efficient coordination between provider clinics and facilities, including managing provider time and meetings.
Resolve issues: Address conflicts and procedural questions promptly.
Participate in meetings and committees: Attend required meetings and participate in committees as assigned.
Perform other duties: Perform other duties as assigned, such as maintaining logs and cross-training for other positions.
Qualifications
Minimum one year of experience in a medical office setting preferred (e.g., ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctor’s office).
Surgery Scheduling Experience Highly Preferred.
