Responsibilities
Patient Communication
Ensure the prompt and efficient handling of patient phone calls, including scheduling, appointment confirmations, office inquiries, and appropriately triaging calls.
Respond to patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism, making them feel valued and heard.
Appointment Scheduling
Manage patient appointments efficiently using our scheduling system.
Collaborate with patients to find suitable appointment times while considering their needs and availability.
Maintain an organized schedule and confirm upcoming appointments by contacting patients in a timely manner.
Administrative Tasks
Answer incoming phone calls and provide a warm and welcoming presence to callers.
Initiate patient payment processing and demographic collection with the utmost confidentiality.
Manage office emails and faxes, ensuring all correspondence is handled promptly and professionally.
Maintain accurate records, adhering to privacy regulations at all times.
Provider Support
Collaborate closely with the assigned healthcare provider to ensure the smooth operation of their duties.
Assist with patient documentation, organize and prepare medical records, and optimize the provider’s schedule to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical practice or related healthcare setting.
Associate degree or higher education preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in healthcare administration or a related field.
Skills And Attributes
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and managing patient information.
Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with scheduling software, email platforms, and remote collaboration tools.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while also being a team player, collaborating effectively with colleagues.
Compassion, empathy, and patience when interacting with patients, recognizing the importance of their well-being and mental health.
