Verify the authenticity and completeness of all records, ensuring their accuracy.
Perform clerical tasks including maintaining charts and managing incoming correspondence such as faxes, both outbound and failed transmissions.
Retrieve archived records as necessary from off-site storage electronically.
Respond to requests for patient records from referring providers, billing departments, or external agencies, confirming HIPAA authorization when disclosing information.
Coordinate and obtain medical records from referring providers, hospitals, diagnostic services, or clinics.
Track hospital procedure s and associated charges efficiently.
Assist clinical staff with medical record recording and access as required.
Prepare patient charts for upcoming visits when needed.
Monitor and close patient medical orders accurately.
Undertake other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
Preferably, at least one year of experience in a medical setting, including handling medical records.
A minimum of one year of experience in a customer-service environment or administrative role.

Physical Activities And Requirements
Extended periods of seated/stationary work involving administrative tasks utilizing computers and phones.
Minimal bending, twisting, stooping, or reaching.
Capability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 25 pounds when necessary.
Note: This role primarily operates remotely, with initial training conducted onsite at the primary clinic. Candidates must reside and work in Washington State. Specific location-based restrictions apply.
