Responsibilities
What You Will Do…
Receive and process patient health information requests following Company and Facility policies.
Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
Stay updated on Company and facility software to efficiently carry out duties.
Adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies of the Company and Customer facilities.
Inform the manager of work challenges, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes.
Assist With Additional Work Duties Or Responsibilities As Needed.
Apply medical privacy regulations consistently to prevent unauthorized disclosure.
Manage patient health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
Prepare new patient charts, gather documents, and input information into the electronic health record.
Assemble medical records accurately and in standard order.
Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical record storage.
Respond to requests for patient records, both within and outside the facility.
Answer inbound/outbound calls and assist with patient walk-ins.
Perform administrative duties such as handling faxes, opening mail, and data entry.
Meet productivity expectations outlined at the specific site.
May assist with scheduling pick-ups.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Basic computer proficiency.
Comfortable using phones, fax machines, printers, and general office equipment.
Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
Detail and quality-oriented with regard to accurate and compliant medical records.
Strong data entry skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision, responding to changing priorities.
Organizational and multitasking skills.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience in a healthcare environment.
Previous production/metric-based work experience.
In-person customer service experience.
Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers.
Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Work is generally performed in an office environment with minimal exposure to unpleasant or hazardous conditions. The role may involve standing and sitting frequently, reaching horizontally and vertically, using a telephone or headset equipment, lifting up to 20 lbs., and working at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities. Travel is generally low to none.

Pay ranges for this position may differ based on location, responsibilities, skills, experience, and other requirements.
