Position Overview
As a Healthcare Records Technician, you’ll play a vital role in our facility by managing and maintaining accurate electronic medical records. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and possess excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Record Management: Prepare, update, and maintain accurate medical records for each patient, ensuring precision and completeness of information.
Appointment Coordination: Manage the appointment system for patients and clinical staff, ensuring timely reminders and tracking compliance with scheduled appointments.
Document Handling: File and scan laboratory, radiology, and other s into the electronic medical record within specified timelines. Route clinical s to the appropriate clinic staff promptly.
Compliance and Archiving: Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, archiving clinical information within prescribed timelines.
Quality Assurance: Review all documentation for completeness, identifying and forwarding incomplete documents to the relevant provider for correction before incorporation into medical records.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting involving electronic medical/health records.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Maintains Heartsaver CPR AED certification.
