Key Responsibilities

Conduct stat procedures and analyze testing samples with precision.

Execute quality control procedures in accordance with protocols and maintain accurate documentation.

Aid in the development of department talent to meet regulatory requirements (CAP, etc.) alongside supervisors or department heads.

Assist in the training of department personnel to uphold high standards.

Prioritize, perform, or delegate laboratory testing based on precise patient information, staff competencies, productivity guidelines, and department policies.

Communicate regular updates and feedback on overall operations to the Laboratory Manager.

Demonstrate leadership by setting a positive example, fostering effective relationships, and promoting cooperation to deliver exceptional departmental services.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of recent experience (within the last 5 years) as an MT/MLT.

Education Requirements

An Associate Degree in Science (2-Year) is mandatory.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (4-Year) is preferred.

Certification/Licensure Requirements

A valid FL State License is required.

ASCP – MT/MLT Certification is necessary.

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Shifts

Days, 40 hours per week, with no weekend requirements.
