Get It Recruit – Educational Services Hiring for Teaching Assistant — Remote | WFH at San Diego, CA Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This position offers valuable learning opportunities and the chance to contribute to our impactful projects. The Teaching Assistant will work closely with experienced educators and professionals to support arts programming both locally and remotely.

This position is open until filled, with an initial review of applications starting after July 5, 2024. The rate of pay is $18-$22 per hour for 6-10 hours per week. Candidates must be based in the Inland Empire and/or Los Angeles area upon hiring.

Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting Teaching Artists in conducting weekly in-person classes at the Central Institution for Men in Chino, CA.

Supporting the Teaching Artist in managing participation, organizing arts materials, and preparing supply lists.

Engaging with participants, answering questions, and fostering an inclusive environment for creative expression.

Contributing to projects such as Guest Artist series, Distance Learning, and exhibitions.

Collaborating on curriculum development and implementation.

Assisting with data collection and ing.

Attending scheduled meetings with the Teaching Artist and team.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you should have:

A minimum age of 18 years.

Residency in the Inland Empire and/or Los Angeles area.

Completion of a satisfactory SDSU background check.

A Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art, Art Education, or Art History, or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in these fields.

Preferred Experience In Creative Practice And/or Teaching.
