Job Description

We’re on the lookout for motivated, perceptive individuals excited about collaborating with our teaching staff to design and execute engaging learning experiences that foster the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of our students. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to our unique school culture and further their skills through ongoing professional development and coaching opportunities.
Responsibilities Include
Collaborating with lead teachers to create an optimal learning environment
Assisting as a co-teacher/teaching assistant in the classroom
Implementing lesson plans provided by lead teachers
Supporting individual or small group learning sessions to reinforce lessons
Maintaining a scholarly atmosphere by enforcing school and class rules
Assisting in record-keeping and progress monitoring
Providing individualized support to maintain on-task behaviors
Collaborating with special educators to implement student accommodations
Facilitating communication with families and attending required meetings
Contributing to student success plans and conducting universal screenings
Supervising assigned student groups and classroom maintenance
Supporting transitions between activities and assisting with administrative duties
Reflecting on feedback to enhance performance and student support
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of college education
Previous experience working with children
Ability to collaborate effectively within a professional team
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
Strong oral communication skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree
Background in Early Childhood, Elementary, ESL, or Special Education
Proficiency in bilingual communication (Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole)
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience.
