About Us

We are an online school dedicated to providing quality education to students worldwide. You will have the privilege of teaching engaging international courses, including Oxford Discover and Reading Explorer, to enthusiastic Chinese students.

Job Details

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates ranging from $8.00 to $25.00 USD.

Scheduling: Workload of 60 – 120 teaching hours per month, with flexibility based on your qualifications. Peak teaching hours fall between 12:00 – 16:00 (South Africa), with the possibility of additional classes.

Students: Teach a diverse group of students aged 5-14 years.

Location: Work from the comfort of your own home in our virtual school.

Start Date: Immediate.

Responsibilities

Develop engaging lesson plans and instructional materials using our provided curriculum.

Deliver interactive and captivating lessons.

Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students.

Provide timely feedback and assess student progress.

Collaborate with colleagues and actively participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Completed tertiary qualification.

Accredited 120-hour CELTO, CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, TEYL certification.

Teaching certificate in South Africa.

Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, including at least 2 years of online teaching experience.

Professional fluency in English with an excellent command of the language.

Strong familiarity with Oxford Discover, Reading Explorer, and other international courses.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Passion for teaching and supporting student learning.

Clear criminal record.

Technical Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Backup power: Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of up to 4-5 hours (2000VA) or willingness to purchase before starting for candidates in areas with frequent power interruptions.

Stable fiber internet connection with a minimum of 20 Mbps upload and download speeds.

Noise-cancelling headsets and an HD web camera. A backup headset is highly recommended.

Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment.
