Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the successful candidate will have the following:

Responsibllilites:

• Crew supervision ensuring effective and efficient productivity without sacrificing safety practices and procedures
• Facilitating the efficient movement of rolled products and scrap materials on-site
• Maintaining accurate inventory for work-in-progress and finished goods
• Ensure timely delivery of customer shipements
• Working with external rail and truck carriers to meet delivery timelines
• Setting work schedules for employees
• Training of employees
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Ideally, the successful candidate will have:

• 2 or more years experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
• Supervisory experience would be an asset
• Post-secondary degree or certificate in Business, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or CET would be an asset but not required
• Extensive knowledge of inventory management and lean manufacturing principles
• A strong sense of urgency/assertiveness and the ability to focus on detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
