SUMMARY: Utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, the school counselor promotes student success, provides preventive services, crisis intervention, and responds to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that focuses on academic success, personal and social development and career and college counseling for all students. Services are provided through counseling curriculum, individual planning, responsive services, and support services. Services may be delivered through individual and group activities.

In-Person Obligations:

• Must attend REQUIRED in-person professional development, in-person state/fed testing administrations, in-person community days, in-person graduation (approx max of 20-25 days of school year) – paid qualifying hotel accommodations, meals, and mileage reimbursements paid.!

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree of Education School Counseling or related field of study AND

• Three (3) years of professional school counseling and/or advisement experience AND

• Proven experience in effecting positive change in an educational setting OR

• Equivalent combination of education and experience
