Learning & Development Program Manager – Remote in Austin (must be local in Texas)
Contract to Hire

We are looking for a Learning & Development Program Manager who is willing and able to spearhead our enterprise Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives. The right candidate will be excited to own, shape and mold our L&D Program. What You Will Do:

• Conduct needs assessments, develop an annual learning and development program plan, and schedule ongoing hybrid learning events including management learning lunches, wellness learning, New Employee Orientation and New Leader Orientation, Management Development programs, compliance and mandatory learning, certifications, designations, and hybrid learning business skills programs.
• Oversee the Association’s Leadership Development program to include the 360 Degree Management Feedback process, Individual Development Plans, online learning sessions, external training, department experiences and work projects.
• Conduct focus groups, assess learning and leadership needs, innovate and plan solutions to address performance gaps, design and implement improvements to existing leadership development program, track and report engagement and performance metrics.
• Utilize ADDIE or SAM model to support instructional design initiatives and manage instructional design projects. Develop and create content to support learning objectives. Coach Technical SMEs on instructional design and consult with them on their instructional design projects. Measure program effectiveness through ongoing evaluation and assessment.
• Develop and design course material including slides, participant handouts, exercises, activities, and facilitator guides.
• Deliver training on specific subject matters including business skills development and technical training. Act as a producer as needed for SME delivered content and learning events.
• Oversee the insurance designations sponsorship program including approving Professional Development Incentives.
• Administer the learning management system. Curate course content and curriculums. Monitor and report on eLearning utilization.
• Develop and deploy marketing strategies to increase utilization of learning programs. Produce various marketing materials that are creative and engaging, and deploy them through a variety of channels to increase learning program participation and eLearning utilization.
• Assist in managing delivery logistical aspects such as scheduling, room reservations, technology/equipment setup and training records administration.
• Monitor and measure program effectiveness based on course evaluations and feedback from participants and managers.
• Revise learning and development programs to incorporate feedback and when appropriate, incorporate process or procedure changes.
• Lead the Learning and Development Council and assist the Counsel evolve into a Community of Practice for learning and development; including sharing ideas and resources among the departments, implementing best practices for learning design, delivery, and deployment, and eliminating redundancies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

The Knowledge, Skills & Abilities You Need:

• Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills, including experience owning client relationships with senior leaders
• Current knowledge of learning technologies and trends, current practices and blended program design techniques for improved learning and development effectiveness
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with agility and flexibility
• Strong program management skills and attention to details for seamless planning and execution of learning programs
• Knowledge of learning techniques for effective facilitation, interactivity, and engagement
• Ability to mediate resolutions to problems within and across department lines to improve organizational effectiveness
• Ability to work equally effectively in team-based environments as well as on tasks which require high levels of initiative, autonomy and independent thought and action
• Ability to plan and execute work with high level of autonomy and ownership
• Demonstrated consultative approach: excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels
• Strong command of Microsoft Office skills and ability to produce deliverables in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, that carry a “stamp of excellence “

You Will Need:

• A bachelor’s degree in related field or a minimum of 8 years of Learning and development experience.
• Experience with development and delivery of training programs including Hybrid and eLearning programs
• Experience in instructional design (Assessment, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation)
• Prior experience managing projects or programs
• At least 3 years of experience managing people

Our Ideal Candidate Will Also Have:

• Advanced degree in Learning and Development, Organizational Psychology, or Human Resources
• CPLP, SPHR. SHRM-SP or other Learning and Development or Human Resources certifications or designations
• Work Environment:
• Remote but may require some office visits throughout the year – candidates must be in Austin or local to TX

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
