Genics Hiring for Senior Marketing & Communications Mgr at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Full Time

We’re on the look out for a well rounded, digital first marketing generalist who understands what it takes to succeed in a small but growing B2B environment. As our most senior marketing person, you’ll be strategising, steering AND delivering activities that support lead generation, sales/marketing alignment, and general brand building.

You’re intellectually curious, proactive and resourceful. You enjoy a challenge and you’re not afraid of watching YouTube videos to figure things out. You’re digitally savvy and have a track record of engaging an audience online. You are a ruthless prioritiser and master of delivering the most important things, saving the low ROI activities for later.

You understand good writing is fundamental. Your writing style is simple but effective. You have experience translating complex science into simple terms and articulating the value of products and services.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY 

In this busy and varied that s to our CEO you’ll be responsible for: 

• Developing and implementing our B2B Marketing strategy across all our segments
• Product marketing (positioning & messaging) for the launch of new features / innovation 
• Performance marketing i.em. paid acquisition strategies, SEO optimisation, and other B2B lead generation activities 
• Sales support & enablement  
• Leverage analytics & business intelligence to evaluate the ROI of marketing campaigns and make data driven decisions for future strategies
• Creatively, resourcefully and cost effectively overseeing the marketing budget 
• Management of tender and grant application process
• Generating content that drives demand, adds value, and builds brand awareness
• Steer social media strategy – LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter
• Design and creation of branded assets (ads, website, video, email, presentations & seminars, collateral)
• Lead our global media relations and PR
• PR initiatives to support new launches and other company achievements 
• Media relations, responding to requests, writing press releases
• Manage a growing marketing team 
• Hire, develop & coach high performing marketing team
• Assemble freelancers, contractors, agencies etc to augment existing capability

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR* 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, science or veterinarian industry 
• At least 7+ years experience in marketing roles in small to medium B2B businesses 
• Proficiency in CMS, CRM (HubSpot) and eDM
• Proficiency in creative content generation tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, AI based tools 
• Bonus points for science, livestock or veterinarian industry experience  
• Legal working rights in Australia
• Brisbane based, or willing to relocate
