Genesis Transportation Co, Inc Hiring for Terminal Manager at Cape Girardeau, MO Full Time

Local trucking firm is seeking a terminal manager to administer all aspects of the operation, including payroll and billing, as well as dispatch and customer service functions. Candidates must be hands on and willing to be directly involved in all aspects of the terminal activity. You must possess excellent computer skills; experience with McLeod software is a plus. Salary compensation based on Experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and oversee the work of staff members to ensure efficiency and compliance with organizational requirements and company procedures.
• Monitor and direct all dispatching activities, including tracking, routing, and dispatching transportation vehicles.
• Implement changes to transportation services, policies or scheduling as needed.
• Ensure staff members fully and consistently comply with safety rules, administrative procedures and policies
• Collaborate with staff members and fellow managers
• Establish and conduct training sessions on a variety of subjects, including quality improvement, safety, compliance with policies, and process improvement,

Required:

• Leadership experience in TL Operations
• Strong team-building skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong TMS/Experience. Experience in McLeod or TMW system preferred.
• Sales Minded/Driven mentality
• Effective organizational and multitasking skills
• Problem solver in fast paced environment

Preferred:

• Previous experience as a terminal manager/transportation leadership role
• Knowledge of Van or Reefer operations helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
