About the Sr. Software Developer position –

The Sr. Software Developer role will involve close interaction with the Systems Architect, Development Team Leaders, business team members and other members of the development team and will demand a high level of design and coding to implement and deliver improvements. There will be ample opportunities to quickly expand on your technical experience, with plenty of business exposure. Every member of the team gives to a thriving environment of professionals committed to identifying and building the applications that could allow us to increase fuel economy, decrease vehicle maintenance costs and provide more customization options to GM vehicle owners.

The CCMS development team develops solutions and maintains functionality for critical Websites and Portals that are both consumer facing as well as supporting the GM dealer and other partners. These portals currently have strong presence across U.S, Canada, and Mexico with plans to expand globally. This role will also support the Sirius XM (SXM) partnership with GM as the SXM Domain Expert (SME), interacting with SXM business teams, architect, for improvements, troubleshooting, and application support/maintenance.

Additional Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years planning, designing, and building complex web sites and applications
• Experience in Java full lifecycle development experience and very good knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate/ORM, REST/SOAP API, and SQL.
• Experience with WebLogic, Microservices, Kafka, Shell Scripts, TFS, Jenkins Pipeline, JMS Queue
• Experience with any of the following a plus: ELK, Dynatrace, Autosys, Bitbucket, CARA
• Proven understanding of object-oriented analysis and design.
• Exposure to production deployment and production support.
• Experience with team mentoring including peer reviewing of code and design.
• Experience working in an Agile development methodology
• A bachelor’s degree in a technical field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with various forms of front-end development technologies such as Angular, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery a plus
• Previous experience working on larger development teams
• Experience working in a SAFe development methodology
• A master’s degree in a technical field
