The Quality Analyst Co-Op will assist in quality initiatives within the four walls of our business. The group is responsible for inspecting and verifying final product in a safe and timely manner. The group leader is tasked with reducing costs, eliminating waste, and improving safety practices. You will support business plan objectives, and maintain the operation at best-in-class level. Some of the problem solving work is of a technical nature, which requires the ability to make prompt decisions within specified limits. This requires that the individual can effectively cope with change, and can comfortably handle risk and uncertainly.
Key Responsibilities
Enforce Health & Safety laws, and promote a safe work environment
Maintain and exceed productivity levels through continuous improvements
Effective use of personnel, material, and equipment
Align with terms of local and national labour agreements
Maintain department records and complete various administrative tasks
Monitor and achieve business plan objectives/targets
Shift rotations and flexible to work weekends/overtime as required

Required Qualifications
Enrolled in an Business, Finance, or Engineering Co-Op degree program and in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study
Eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada, and for 4-month term starting May 2022
Demonstrates strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills
Demonstrates initiative, and ability to plan and execute tasks
Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Fundamental digital literacy including proven knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Highly adaptable and able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in collaboration with a team
Must be proficient in the English language
The successful candidate will be required to attest to, and be prepared to provide proof of, their vaccination status and that any job offer will be conditional on the candidate being fully vaccinated
Preferred Qualifications
Prior manufacturing experience, knowledge of production environments, and in automotive industry are considered assets
Previous supervisory, or team leading experience
