Job Description
General Motor is undergoing a major transformation, both in how we operate and in how we will influence the future of transportation. Our Vehicle Motion Embedded Controls (VMEC) team is on the forefront of this work, emboldening our culture by seeking out driven, innovative individuals who will join our team to help move us forward and achieve our mission! At a high level, the VMEC organization is responsible for all the software in the vehicle that makes it stop, turn and go.
This software development role actively engages in the full life cycle application development including the design, code, test, documentation, training and end user support of controls based and/or test automation applications.
The position requires creativity and initiative as well as a high level of independent judgment and technical leadership skills. You will support the development as well as implement major feature enhancements and architectural redesigns for automotive controls based software applications in support of test automation, in-vehicle data collection and analysis, calibration/optimization engineering activities.
