In this role your responsibilities will be of a technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general practices, policies and standards. Your work will involve complex manufacturing problems including the need to root cause and follow issues to resolve.
You will be responsible for equipment related to the manufacturing process. You will required to use your independent discernment.
Your responsibility may involve training others and assigning work to a small group of employees
Job Description:
You will analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes
Propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area
Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area
You will keep regular contact with partners outside the work group
Provide direction to small group of technical employees
You may evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent training/experience
At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience/ manufacturing operations experience.
At least 3 years of experience working on major projects including new product launches
At least 3 years of experience providing technical direction and leadership of manufacturing processes (welding, dispense, throughput, as examples) or body shop tooling vendor leadership
Willingness to travel extended periods of time
Technical capability with knowledge of automated processes
Ability to lead a work group as well as managing projects experience
Proficient in Microsoft 365 software tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
