RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and execute experiments in labs and manufacturing location both, independently and working with R&D developer
Independent leadership of complex projects: Execution and project identifications
Plant trial leadership and commercialization with internal and external manufacturers
Develops and leverages internal and external networks/demonstrates the power of networks to others
Technical coaching and onboarding of other technicians and junior scientist/engineers; knowledge guardian; troubleshooting, problem-solving
Lead R&D/GPD/FSQ interface with cross functional teams
Understanding of packaging materials and machine interface considerations
Prepare and submit samples for storage tests and analytical testing
Lead in food and human safety
Gather data and document experiments and results in ELN
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Previous work experience (5-10 years) in a similar field (Package development experience/Laboratory experience)
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices
Proficient in computer/technology skills (Word, Excel, other computer programs)
Demonstrated critical thinking & problem-solving Skills
Demonstrated leadership in food safety and human safety
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment; desire to learn new concepts quickly and apply in productive ways
Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to a team environment
Strong self-starter and holds a high regard for quality of work; ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
