General Entertainment Content Hiring for Manager, DEI and Education Resource Group (DBT) Job at Duarte, CA Full Time

This role will have day-to-day responsibilities as a thought partner, strategic business team member, and leading influencer in connection with Disney Branded Television’s diversity, equity and inclusion goals for its talent, culture, and content. The role will report to the Senior Vice President, Educational Resource Group, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion and will work collaboratively with other members of Disney Branded Television and also Disney Television Animation studio, the Walt Disney Television division and across The Walt Disney Company, including with Creative, Production, Programming, Marketing, Brand Management, Digital Media, Human Resources, and Business Affairs teams.

Responsibilities :

• Advance subject matter expertise by developing resources and relationships with industry leaders, consultants, and other partners, in order to support best practice thinking for inclusive behavior at all levels of the organization
• Transform initiatives of Diversity & Inclusion into creative solutions, strategies, and processes around people and culture for talent acquisition, learning/development, and performance management
• Manage an on-going calendar of activities, objectives, and programs with a variety of stakeholders across Disney teams, businesses, and geographies, enhancing our inclusion brand both inside and outside the company
• Establish metrics to measure progress towards goals and assessment of past performance; regularly update Diversity & Inclusion practices with insight from market/industry trends for shaping future actions
• Become a trusted counsel/advisor to leadership and teams on Diversity & Inclusion matters
• Event Planning and Management such as Cultural Competency Workshops & Events, Live action Mixers, and Cultural Immersions
• Manage Ongoing Enterprise and Corporate DEI requests while also managing the ongoing relationship with Disney’s Belong Advocates and the DTVA writing program.

Basic Qualifications :

• Strong knowledge of and credibility with diversity concepts and programs.
• Highly-organized, self-starter who is passionate about DEI
• Ability to work and collaborate cross-functionally and with various stakeholders
• Relationships with talent, representatives, and executives in the entertainment industry and within the creative community.
• Experience reviewing content with a DEI lens is a plus
• Strong written and verbal/expressive communication skills for meeting facilitation and deliverable development.
