Job Description:
GDIT is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist Advisor that will lead the strategic partnership between recruiting and our business leaders. You will have the opportunity to develop and deliver a talent acquisition strategy that identifies and engages the top talent in the market. You’ll manage a team with responsibility for portfolio management across a large and complex business group. You will innovate and drive process changes through trust and transparency with managers and by providing the critical feedback necessary to grow our business.
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist Advisor, you must develop and execute proactive recruitment strategies in collaboration with your team and hiring managers. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring strategies are aligned to the business objectives and GDIT’s imperatives with a customer-centric focus on the candidate experience.
A day in the life:
Reviews resumes, advertising responses and employment applications. Interviews and screens applicants for technical competence, applicable background and skills, individual goals and ability to fit in the organization and function effectively
Coordinates the conduct of reference checks and evaluates reference data concerning previous employment record
Makes employment recommendations based on information developed through interviews, reference checks, applications and resumes
Acts as internal staff consultant for line and staff management on employment matters
Assists managers in evaluating applicant qualifications and selection of most qualified candidates
Gathers, prepares, and analyzes a variety of employment data relating to advertising effectiveness, turnover, minority employment, recruiting campaigns and related items as required
Participates in and formulates basic recommendations in the development of short and long range manpower and employment objectives considering such factors as corporate growth objectives, manpower availability, employment lead time requirements and the like
Develops advertising campaigns, determining ad placement and coordinating advertising schedules in appropriate media
Plans and conducts college recruiting programs
Establishes and maintains contact with a variety of potential applicant resources including search firms, governmental agencies, college placement centers, trade schools, and related organizations
May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)
Provide a high-level consultative approach to hiring managers regarding strategy, collaboration and solution for their book of business.
Understand the intricacies of their program and environment dynamics through building and maintaining relationship with hiring managers and recruiters.
Develop innovative strategies using research in the latest recruitment trends to provide recommendations to management on how to optimize and integrate these trends into daily practice.
Actively manage Key Performance Indicators by developing and analyzing key metrics to ensure the goals are met and/or exceeded.
Develop an effective pipeline of key talent by working with HR Business Partners and Resource Managers to create short and long-term forecasting models and workforce hiring plans.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of recruiting experience; OR in lieu of degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Significant Technical recruitment experience with demonstrated success in attracting and retaining cleared candidates
Motivated self-starter; results-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Thought-Leader with creative solutions to make immediate impact
Subject Matter Expertise in using traditional, social media and other niche sourcing tools
Knowledge and past use of a web-based applicant tracking system (such as Workday) candidate workflow and dispositioning with EEOC and OFCCP compliance
Experience recruiting for highly cleared government contracts highly desired
Ability to be organized and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, rapidly-changing environment
Ability to provide reporting and analytics on staffing status and provide analytic updates to management and customers
Proficiency using MS Office with advanced skills in Excel and Power Point
